Tracked and Increased Quantity of Student Inquiries



When I began my work on the New College website the Director of Marketing told me he was concerned that the school was not yet collecting inquiries or contact information using the website. Therefore we had no information about how many new students may have been attracted by the website.

He asked me to look into this and I learned enough new technology to develop a set of inquiry forms, email templates and response pages using Coldfusion and MS SQL. I also built a simple back-end interface to make it easy for us to update the inquiry forms for the 20+ New College programs from one central place. I set up logins so that faculty and administrative staff could view and reply to inquiries for only the specific academic programs of interest to them.

Then we implemented Google Adwords campaigns that more than tripled the number of inquiries we received. In fact, there was a faculty member (no names) who complained that his program was getting too many inquiries from potential students...
