Automated Index of "Carol Weiss King - Human Rights Lawyer"

During the time that I was working for Ann Fagan Ginger, she was completing a book on Carol Weiss King. I saw her indexing the book by hand, using a fine pencil to track subject words and page numbers where each word was referenced. This was hard to watch so I taught myself enough WordPerfect scripting to enable me to automatically generate the index for the book, allowing her to focus on content.

Here's how the MCLI store describes the book, Carol Weiss King: Human Rights Lawyer (1895-52):

Pioneer lawyer woman who helped win Scottsboro, Harry Bridges, and many other Supreme Court cases on immigration, labor and civil rights. Distinguished book award for 1994, Gustavus Myers Center.
